Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HYDRA LOGISTICS S.R.L. ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you visit hydralogistics.ro (the "Site"). We've designed this Site to collect as little data as possible - no forms, no analytics, no advertising trackers, no third-party scripts. Your use of the Site is also governed by our Terms of Use.
1. Who we are
The data controller for hydralogistics.ro is:
VAT No. RO50202979
Trade Register No. J2024001274039
Str. Sfanta Vineri, nr. 78, 110024 Pitesti, Romania
Email: [email protected]
2. What we collect
The Site is a purely static website. We do not operate any contact forms, newsletters, analytics, advertising pixels, or user accounts on it. The only information processed in connection with your visit is:
- Server access logs. Like virtually every website on the internet, our web server automatically records standard technical information when you make a request: your IP address, the requested URL, referrer URL, browser user-agent, HTTP status code, response size, and timestamp. These logs are used exclusively to operate the Site, diagnose errors, and protect against abuse (e.g. brute-force attempts, bots, DDoS).
-
A single local-storage entry for your theme preference. If you switch the Site between dark and light mode, we save your choice in your own browser's
localStorageunder the keyhydra-theme. This is not a cookie, is not transmitted to us, and never leaves your device. You can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, payment details, location data, device identifiers, or any other personal information through the Site itself.
3. Cookies & local storage
The Site does not set any cookies. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any other form of client-side cookie storage.
We do use a single localStorage entry, as described above, strictly to remember your light/dark theme preference between visits. Under EU ePrivacy rules, this kind of storage is considered "strictly necessary" for a service you've actively requested (switching the theme) and does not require a consent banner.
4. Third-party services
The Site is self-hosted and does not load any third-party scripts, fonts, analytics, or advertising code. All assets - HTML, CSS, JavaScript, images - are served from our own domain. This means no third party receives information about your visit simply because you loaded a page.
Two links on the Site do, however, point to external destinations. We mention them for full transparency:
- Google Maps. The "Open in Maps" link in our Contact section opens a Google Maps search in a new tab. Google's own privacy policy applies once you land on their site. We do not embed Google Maps on our page - nothing is sent to Google unless you actively click the link.
- Carrier Portal. The "Portal" link takes you to portal.hydralogistics.ro, which is our own separate carrier-facing application. It has its own privacy practices and is accessible only to authenticated partners.
Our hosting infrastructure is operated from within the European Union.
5. When you email us
If you contact us at [email protected], we'll receive whatever you include in your message: typically your name, email address, and the details of your inquiry. We use this information solely to respond to you and, if we go on to work together, to carry out our business relationship (contracts, transport orders, invoicing, CMR documentation, etc.).
6. Legal basis for processing
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal bases on which we rely are:
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) - for the minimal server-log data needed to operate the Site securely.
- Contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) - when you email us about a potential shipment or service.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) - for records we're required to keep under Romanian and EU law (e.g. accounting, customs, transport documentation).
7. How long we keep data
- Server access logs: typically up to 30 days, then rotated and deleted, unless a specific log is preserved for security investigation.
- Email correspondence: kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry; if we enter a business relationship, relevant correspondence is retained for the duration of that relationship plus any period required by Romanian accounting and tax law (generally up to 10 years for accounting records).
- Theme preference
localStorageentry: stored on your device until you clear your browser data. We never see it.
8. Your rights under GDPR
If we hold personal data about you (for example, because you've emailed us), you have the right to:
- Request access to the data we hold about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- Request erasure ("right to be forgotten"), subject to legal retention obligations;
- Request restriction of processing;
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
- Request data portability where applicable;
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP) - www.dataprotection.ro.
9. Security
We serve the Site over HTTPS with HSTS enforced. The server is configured with a strict Content Security Policy, anti-clickjacking headers, and standard hardening practices. Access to our servers is restricted and protected by strong authentication.
No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we do process.
10. Children
The Site is a B2B freight-carrier business site and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally - for example, if we add new functionality to the Site or if the law changes. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be clearly announced on this page.
